Heart in the Sea
Once there was a girl
Who loved so much she gave pieces of her heart away
But the world is cruel,
The world is mean,
And they didn't care how broken she would be
So she ran with her heart,
Locked in a chest,
Swallowed the key
And she threw her heart in the sea
And she loves no more
She's left stone cold
No one can ever hurt me
No one can ever love me
And so the girl who loved the most
became the one with the least
She remembered how she used to love before she knew
The world is cruel,
The world is mean,
And they didn't care she threw her heart in the sea
And she loves no more
She's left stone cold
No one can ever hurt me
No one can ever love me
And I tried to get it back, I swear
But the ocean swallowed it
The deep sea doesn't care
And when he asks, "why do you push me away?"
I'll say
I can love no more
I'm left stone cold
No one can ever hurt me
And I can't ever let you love me
Once there was a girl
Broken as can be
Who threw her heart in the sea
