In Me
In me he saw a moon rising,
Where I could see nothing but the tufts of sun leftover.
In me he touched the inner walls of my chest cavity,
Where I gave him my neck and open lips.
In me he saw delicacy,
Where all I saw was dogteeth.
In me he gave life, from the top of my scalp to every sway of my hip to his guitar,
Where I only had felt dust before.
In me he saw a moon rising,
Where all I knew was my relevance to sun.
In me he spoke honesty,
Where I only had charity.
In me he touched himself to my lips,
Where I was offering my everything.
