The Risk
They say if you never jump
You'll never know if you fly
Well I prayed to Peter Pan to come take me away
But he never showed at my window
So I ask you now...
What is risk without a fall?
Tell me, when you gambled it all did you
Run off the edge, or cautiously go?
Does it even matter? Because either way
The ground was so much harder than I thought it would be
My wings made of wax were just that -
An illusion
Because even though we reach for the sun,
In the end,
It only becomes what destroys us
And lemme tell you now,
I didn't fly,
I didn't soar
So can you really blame me if I say
I won't risk it no more?
What is risk without a fall?
Tell me, when you gambled it all did you
Run off the edge, or cautiously go?
Does it even matter? Because either way
The ground was so much harder than I thought it would be
The ground was so much harder than I thought it would be.
