Sedative

Somewhere, far away.
No matter where you stay.
I want you to remember me,
For all of eternity.
Forget the negatives,
Add in the positives.
For my own benefit,
You’ll be my sedative.
As we walk along our winds,
I wash away my sins.
Though this goodbye has made me weep,
My sedative will help me sleep.
For the present will contain many tears,
I wish to wake up in a future of better years.
