Christmas Sonet
No warm weather, from now on it’s below freezing
Playing with snow, drinking hot cocoa near the fire
The lights hung up, other months quickly breezing
Friends, along with cousins, who also are bad liars
Hiding gifts in the house, pretending like it is gone
Family comes for dinner, drinks, desserts and food
Day slowly passing, hours later here comes dawn
Christmas makes me happy, I love that good good
Eve has come, waking up early with new jammies
Swarm of people gather round, all really fortunate
Grabbing eggnog, being spotted are my grammies
Now a crowded home, I dash upstairs to hibernate
Presents are being opened, with everyone content
Father opening his gift, and out comes a new tent
