Autumn Sonnet
Each year autumn rolls around, the leaves all fall to the ground
The sun is still alive, just weaker now
The swimming of kids left without a sound
No more need to wipe the sweat off my brow
Nature’s pallet painting all of the trees
All of the leave crunching under my new boots
Waiting for winter, and a bitter breeze
Saying goodbye to the fresh, juicy fruits
Not to fear, there are lots of crisp apples
And tons of great pumpkins; mini and large
Thanksgiving: a tasty feast with samples
This time of year, the ghosts and ghouls are in charge
Autumn will always be the best season
There won’t be too much snow with my knees in
