Mother And Son
Into this world, for I arrive, alone.
Naked, simple, a blank state, pure and clean
Embraced by your pure hands,so much unknown
You guide me, teach me, by your side I lean.
I crawl, I stand, towards you I follow
My first steps, they fill you with glowing pride
Someday I'll leave, a hard pill to swallow
Despite this truth, our bond can’t be denied.
Despite the years,as quickly as they pass
Our love grows in lessons and in loss.
I think of you with each goal I amass.
Into my new life, one more bridge to cross.
A child born unto me, a blank slate
A love as strong as ours, I will create.
