I cast my heart anew
To where it’s never gone
Across the deep blue lake
Atop a fair white swan
My body stays in place
As I watch from far away
My heart calls out to me
A cry from falling grace
I listen for a while
Then I reject it’s plea
My heart may beat alone
But that’s it’s remedy
I wave my heart goodbye
Left in silence with no reply
