Road Trippin
What's your best memory as a child?
Riding in the back seat for ten plus hours,
while imagining we were in the wild.
Wipers wipe the rain from the rain showers.
We counted the signs as we passed each state,
all of the bridges we had crossed over.
We would arrive to my aunt's way too late,
traffic got bad we weren't much closer.
Finally we were just an hour away.
My brothers annoyed me the whole ride there,
so loud in the back they took the wrong way.
Dad screamed out a really naughty swear!
Excited to get there altogether.
A memory that will last forever.

This is a childhood memory that will forever stay with me, and I thought it would be a great choice of writing for this poem.
