A letter to my father/A letter to my daughter
A letter to my father
you taught me the courage of star in dark
shinning but knowing anguish of fading
how light carries on after a long break
Sewing beauty of night never ending
Life blooms like a tiny bud by the street,
Close but far away, common but unique.
Rains wash away footprints of came and left
Person by my side where will he awake.
tracing the lost soul up against the stream,
I can see past fly, knowing voice can’t sound,
But still waiting for the one to come home.
Sand becomes dessert and drops become stream,
Time offers a way to leave past behind,
I will keep going till I reach your arm.
A letter to my daughter
Too little of past for one to forget,
But too much for one to put into lines.
Everyone’s wish leads to their ultimate;
Desert becomes sand and stream becomes drops.
Life blooms like a tiny bud by the road,
Transient but beautiful, fragile but staunch
I used to wish I can always bystand
till life touch so real and sorrow drench
Last page of story isn't the end of book.
Fire still burns even if the torch goes out
That’s footprints for me to find my way home
Night brings me dreams but day keep me awake
The Love of you is what I cherish most
Please shine brightly even without my arm.
