Sonnet to my Cat
Socks, the cat, with eyes of gleaming gold,
Upon the sill, he sits in quiet thought.
In Twilights glow, his tales are softly told,
His feline grace, in every move is caught.
His velvet paws, they dance upon the floor,
In dreams, he chases shadows swift and fleet.
Each purr, a song we can't help but adore,
His presence makes each day feel so complete.
In silence, wisdom from his gaze does flow,
A lesson in contentment, grace, and peace.
His simple joy, in life he does bestow,
In his company, our worries cease.
So here's to Socks, our feline friend so dear,
His purrs, the sweetest song we ever hear.
