Beneath the silver hush of autumn skies,
A leaf drifts slowly, spun from golden light.
It twirls through air where whispered silence lies,
And kisses earth in quiet, soft delight.

The river hums a tune both old and deep,
Reflecting clouds that wander in the blue.
Its waters hold the secrets time will keep,
Yet shimmer with a promise always new.

The sun dips low, igniting amber flame,
While shadows stretch and yawn across the ground.
Though night approaches, calling by its name,
The heart of day in memory is found.

So fleeting beauty dances with the night,
Yet leaves the soul with wonder and delight.
