Melting Away The Cold
When I close my eyes, I dream,
Of a world, by most, unseen.
This is coming from a teenaged “drama queen”,
Who tends to be known, by some, as “very mean”.
With a heart made of gold,
In the winter it gets cold.
I wish my world wasn’t covered in snow,
But when it will melt, well, no one can quite know.
Though maybe someday, out the sun will come,
To get it’s belated, much awaited, job done.
And melt away the cold,
To warm up all the gold.
And shine upon my heart,
Giving me a brand new start.
