Oglala Lakota Nation
These people see death every day
To get alcohol they’ll drive out of their way
They live in houses with the black mold
Some people sleep outside in the blistering cold
Only one grocery store to help them, you see
Wait, this is happening in America? This can’t be
They’ll never turn family away
But I bet they have a lot to say
They do what they can to stay warm
And they pray there won’t be a storm
With nothing there but a dirt road
These conditions can’t be up to code
They live on the Pine Ridge Reservation
The people of the Oglala Lakota Nation
