Traffic Light
The light turns red and time stops abruptly,
my tears stream down, mocking the pouring rain,
and thoughts of her control my world with pain,
bringing the image of her all bloody.
Lifeless she laid, the sight was most unlovely,
sorrow and fear took me over in vain,
I cry again, this I must learn to contain,
heartache tis’ not I know this surely.
The light turns green and I wipe my blade clean,
you, him, and I alone in that small time,
swift grey sharp steel and oh did your eyes gleam.
The deed was done twas’ no act of crime,
only to show the pain you cause I mean,
satisfaction gained through your last whine
