A Pause in Time
I bite my nails
 I twist my hair
 Will he notice me
 Will he ever care
I hold my breath and hope for the best
Then turn and face the worst
 My stomach tightens
I suffocate in my own weakness
My blood turns black and my skin goes pale
 My touch is so cold
 Inhale the bad
 Exhale the good
I feel my heart skip a few beats
See my eyes flicker with hatred
You lied and I took the fall
 Like a broken rose...
Time stands still but just for a moment
 Not long enough for you
 The Jaded Heart
 to notice but for me...
 You can feel the tension
The vibes of emotions floating through the air
Thay start to close in on me
I close my eyes and open them
 Back to normal
You pass without a second glance
I silently blow a black kiss and turn with a black smile upon my face
