Schizophrenic
Can’t you hear them?
Am I the only one?
Are they ghosts come to condemn?
Or is it Death telling me I’m done?
I fear I’m losing my mind.
I hear voices I’ve never heard before.
What’s that? Something’s creeping from behind.
I feel it slithering on the floor.
What are these things I see?
They look like nothing but dreams.
Why do they speak to me?
Oh, if only someone could hear my screams.
Why are their words so authentic?
Could they be right? Maybe I am schizophrenic.
