The Search
There are few men who dare to sail alone,
when clouds cover the guiding lights above.
They sail in search of that which they’ve not known.
Sometimes the hardest thing to find is love.
Somewhere they hope to find the perfect one,
but hope is soon replaced by doubt and fright.
For surely they are missing all the fun
of youth as they move on into the night.
Many worry they’ve waited for too long
and won’t have someone there when they grow old;
that perfect one just never came along,
and they missed out because they were not bold.
The wise do say that love is always blind,
so close your eyes and see what your heart finds.
