Do I Dare?
Do I dare disturb the universe?
Do I dare take that chance?
Do I dare take that tiny step to make the world more diverse?
Do I dare break the chains of conformity so that I can leap and dance?
Do I dare disturb the universe? Do I dare?
Do I dare disturb the universe, Do I dare shatter the mirror of everyone?
Do I dare take this chance, or do I really care?
About what everyone else thinks could have been done?
Do I dare disturb the universe, sopping with content-ness
In living in the uniform Cass System called the human race?
Do I dare disturb the universe? Will I ever settle for less?
Do I dare disturb the universe, Am I willing to face
Anything she spits at me, will I seize it, will I accept it?
Do I dare disturb the universe? Will I gather it in my arms?
Will I love it, embrace it, and never let go? Each moment, each bit?
Do I dare disturb the universe? Whatever she brings, However many the harms?
Do I dare disturb the universe? At least my little corner?
It could change bit by bit
Or reverse to the former
Do I dare disturb the universe? Or will I fall into a pit?
Do I dare disturb the universe; does she disturb me
Enough to write this verse?
Enough to be free?
Do I dare disturb the universe?
Do I dare disturb the universe? Do I dare strike a match and light her on fire?
‘Till her whole cosmos ablaze awakens in wonder
And asks herself why she was not disturbed nigher
Do I dare disturb the universe?
Do I Dare?
