Changing Seasons
Our lives are like the always changing seasons.
At times it seems they’re coming to an end.
Remember though that changes have their reasons.
And summer’s gorgeous rays of light impend.
They shine through hundred mile-long clouds of darkness,
Breaking through these black walls’ many holes.
Summer is a time of extreme bliss.
Bringing hope to even the saddest of souls.
When winter comes and ends the heat
That summer gave our now weary selves,
Harsh winds and bitter cold symbolize our defeat.
And we settle in our graves, been carefully delved.
So as the seasons change throughout the year,
As do the lives of those most near and dear.
