Adieu
Times are dark, jubilation is scarce, I am lost in a cold winter storm.
Thoughts traveling back to when you were near, and our bond strong.
Haunting memories take over my mind all day and night long.
Since you left, my whole life has been forced to transform;
I wish you were back and life would finally reform.
The pain and sorrow is too much to bear for an entire lifelong;
I just wish to no longer live this lonely, desperate song,
And for things to restore to the norm.
I dream to hear your voice again; for this pain and despair to be thrown,
Though I know you are in peace, just where you belong.
To know you are now safe is comforting to me, but I still greatly miss you.
Sitting in the dark halls of my deep thoughts, I feel so much alone,
But now I know that I must say goodbye, and my thoughts must seize to throng.
I need your help to finally tell you adieu.
