Father to Daughter (Night's Sleep or Deep Slumber?)
Oh love, my love, don’t shed any tears
I will only be gone for a while.
Your heart will protect you against your fears
We’ll meet again soon my love, my child.
Imagine new places with big parks and toys,
Where you can play all you want and be free.
I’ll try really hard to keep down the noise,
And will be at your side if you need me.
Sleep tight my angel, my sweet little girl,
I will see you tomorrow in the day.
After you wake up and the sun’s lips curl
You will find out then that daddy did stay.
I love you my daughter, my sickly child.
So sleep my baby, if only a while…
