Can't Look Back
Door slams shut.
My feet on the hot stone.
He's worked me into a rut,
And now I'm all alone.
Now I am alone,
I can't look back.
My heart is made of stone,
In love it now beings to lack.
Bright red stains my sack,
But I can't feel the pain.
The tears on my face in tracks,
And blood washes down the drain.
My feet stop at the rocky cliff,
I know it wasn't a lover's tiff.
