The Fire in My Heart
My eyes float around the room I am in
They look until they meet a pair of gold
I think about the feel of his warm skin
His arms around me in his solid hold
My heart melts when he catches my deep stare
A smile falls across his smooth red lips
A smile that is hard for me to bear
His smile blocks the world like an eclipse
He loved me like no one else ever had
He used to call me his favorite girl
When I was with him I never felt bad
I felt as precious as a sparkly pearl
I hope he enjoys his fun, little game
Because he’s in the cheaters hall of fame
