Sonnet
wind whistles through all the tree branches
leaves crinkle under the fast falling snow
animals search for warmth on the ranches
birds of all kinds fly south, led by the crow
grassy floors lie damp after snow has melt
tree branches regain their vibrant green leaves
rainy clouds cover the sky like a belt
all the birds quickly fly back in great heaves
the sun moves higher in the sky to shine
the dark pavement burns the soles of our feet
the heat is embraced as the sun declines
listen to the song the birds chirp and tweet
the leaves change color and fall to the ground
and the birds chirping is a distant sound
