More Than What You See
When you look at me what do you see
Well I think people see different things
But do they even see the real me
I don't really think they do because people right of the bat think I'm mean
Or they think I'm a push over so they can do whatever they want to me
I don't know why people think so many things
When none of those things are me
I'm a nice person as long as your not mean
I have feelings so I don't like when you tease me
I have ears too so I hear what you say about me
You sound like you know everything when you say those mean things
But you must have the wrong person because your description doesn't match me
For one I like boys but just the nice ones
Yes I'm fat but I don't eat much
I have acne but I don't think I'm ugly
I may be quiet to you but I have friends and hobbies
So whatever you think I am I guarantee it's not me
I guess I'm more than what you see

I cant tell if this was meant to be a sonnet, but they're generally 14 lines long--no shorter, no longer. (Not trying to be an annoying critic just providing some feedback)
But overall, this is a really nice poem. It relates to how a lot of people feel. Prejudice is a silent killer.
