Cursed
In the darkest night on the darkest hill
The wolf’s bane woke her up from sleep
The mistress of the house felt the icy chill
The sound she knew so well, plunged her into the deep
She wore no shackles to keep her there
Outside, the world, was dark but she was forbidden
To leave into the frigid midnight air
And find her lost love that’d hidden
Her betrothed spoke of such hate
At the very mention of his name and
When we spoke of her former lover’s fate
Man to beast, he was ruled by a black hand
The mournful wolf calls pierced her to the core
But her cursed lover she’s see nevermore
