You might never imagine what life is like
Without a best friend by your side.

You are so close that you never think that your friendship could take a hike,
Because you both need each other for everything, like you're tied.

But I'll tell you what happened to me because it might happen to you alike,
What it's like to lose your best friend from your beside.

Nobody to talk to all day long,
Memories that once made you smile make you ache inside realizing they are gone;
Nobody to notice that once in a while you're really not okay,
And they're gone so there's no one to make you feel better today;
Nobody to tell all your secrets to,
And the ones you've already shared are just left in the blue;
Nobody to persevere you to keep going,
And the ones that try are only slightly showing.

But my mission isn't to make you depressed,
Only to show you what really happens when you lose your number one fan.

You see, everything happens for the best,
And you only lost them because that was God's plan.

If they were truly your best friend, they wouldn't of left you like an unwelcome guest,
And now you can truly see the world without that person now as important as a soda can.

You will realize who your true friends are,
The one who actually does have the ability to make you shine like a star.
New inside jokes will come around,
And before you know it you will get used to the old friend gone, and it wont bring you down.
It's like the cycle almost starts again,
So watch out for the ones who aren't as worthy as an "amen".
You'll know if they are one who will stick around,
So search for those and your life will never be burnt down.
