Suicidal Sonnet
Try viewing life as a thorn in your side,
and Death may well take you for a joy ride.
He'll fly you close to the jagged mountains,
and volcanoes, lava-spewing fountains.
He'll nearly drop you down to the ocean.
You'll nearly yearn for past-time commotion.
He'll fly you o'er the desert, drop goes sweat.
As it drips, so does your feeling regret.
You've never once felt such fear in your life.
This fear outdoes any olden-time strife.
You'll wish for old hobbies and companions.
This shade, you'll surely not wish to stand in.
The shade of the tree of life reaps no crop.
You'll wish to be here, back in the hop.
Try fixing your faults, this ain't your last run.
Now spit out those pills, and put down the gun.
