May your eyes wander away from mine;
May you shake your head and turn away.
But my honest love you can’t malign,
Nor can your truthful heart beat with dismay.
No matter how much you deny my love,
You hear my whispers in your deepest sleep.
You see me in your sweetest dreams above
As I hope to ensnare your heart to keep.
Yet you insist in your phantom soul mate
And claim that you have sworn yourself to him.
How those desperate lies drive me irate!
This desire to tear him limb from limb
Won’t ever let me go until you would
Swear to end your days with me for good.
