Writing a Sonnet
I do not know how to write a sonnet
It is a pleasure which I have not had
Oh, I don’t think that I will win this bet
If I give up I may be rather glad
You have to rhyme and have ten syllables
And have an iambic pentameter
As well as not sound too artificial
Likewise, make sure you are not a quitter
Make sure you know of those endless hours
Which writing it will take, to make good drafts
But if you don’t succeed, then you may scour
The page, a symbol of the writer’s crafts
Though writing a sonnet is very hard
With practice, you too can become a bard
