Ocean
I cannot think where I would rather be;
Bright blue sea compliments a cloudless sky.
Children, old and young, surf through rolling sea;
My eyes brim with salt; ears full with gull cry.
I am brave, a force to be reckoned with;
The pounding waves roar, but I do not shy.
I tackle each swell with fire in my hearth;
Never have I felt so free, nor flown so high.
Above, I sense the churning of water;
Feel the exhilaration of the wave.
Below, I remain safe from the danger;
Alone in my safe haven, free from cascade.
For hours on end, I play in the waves
Drunk on the love the foaming ocean gave.
