Something Inside
The chills are shooting down my aching spine
Each of my bones feels so brittle and weak
I am losing hold of what was once mine
I do not have any words left to speak

The emptiness is taking over me
I have forgotten what I can become
I no longer have the courage to see
My body has become so very numb

I can still feel the light I hold within
I am not sure exactly where it’s hid
I see it brightening as I begin
Begin searching through everything I did

I knew I would find it somewhere inside
Because otherwise I would have just died
