Just A Tear
I’ve all erased all the nothingness.
Stomped out all the fear.
I’ve nothing more to tell you.
All I have is a tear.
I can’t sulk over you any longer.
I can’t keep walking with a frown.
What do I look like all bitter?
Walking with my head down?
You played me just like the others.
I thought I loved you all these years.
I did… but I was foolish.
I’ve got nothing left but a tear.
I’m speechless, completely silent.
I’ve mourned over your carelessness for so long.
Now all my pain is erased, with your absence
All my heartache… gone.
You said you loved me but that was a lie.
That you cared for me, that you’d always be here
So when you stormed out of my life I was broken
But now all I have left is a tear.
No more fear,
No more pain
No more heartache
No more rain.
Just a tear,
No trembles or shakes
Just a tear,
Sliding slowly down my face.
