This Feeling

That day I felt a spark within my heart,
a feeling I compare with my own smile,
a feeling I should not leave in the dark,
a feeling I would like to keep on file

a feeling that gives me an open mind,
a feeling that makes me want to see you,
a feeling that is not making me blind,
a feeling that makes me want to love you

This feeling it did light a light within,
but feelings they do tend to go away,
this feeling is warming beneath my skin,
but this feeling I want to always stay

Like lightning bolts coursing through my blue veins,
this feeling has broken these wretched chains.

A nightmare was keeping me from sleeping, so I figured writing about what I loved would help me feel better
