Sonnet 10
My ill heart has not felt love's tender hand
yet neither has it felt love's brokeness
such emotions it cannot understand
it only knows the chill of loneliness
still it is in lust of what is unknown
curious of completion's twining
the tender music of Venus's tone
which when played starts solitudes resigning
to know what the fellow man partakes
to fathom yet the pleasures of the soul
and to rejoice in the brave scheme of the fates
to reach enlightenment man's noble goal
then to quickly die in divine reward
after hearing loves lasting unheard chord.
