That Day
December was creeping
Up. As was that day.
I remember all the weeping
As everybody went their own way.
Snow kept falling on the grave.
All that dark earth upturned and fresh
My sister watches so naïve.
The box is lowered on a dark mesh.
I don’t know.
How did it end?
They never even showed
Me how as people bend.
I didn’t know how
But I know now.
