Of you, my love, I shall wax rhapsodic
Although words fail to portray your beauty
Your songs are by far the most melodic
To worship them is my foremost duty
Once men gaze upon you they don't look twice
Which is great from a jealousy standpoint
I speak to you against the world's advice
Yet I only fear that I'll disappoint
Medusa, my lady, I am consumed
You are the only woman on my mind
And yet our situation isn't doomed
I will not turn to stone for I am blind
Your love will give worth to a sightless life
So I beg you to be my snake-haired wife

Genius! As ancient greek mythology is an interest of mine I definitely found this poem intriguing. Plus, any poem that uses words like rhapsodic should get commended on their literary merit. Very inventive (:
