The Sea of Black
The waves devour everything they touch,
Its threatening power never will hold back.
It’s always grabbing, taking way too much.
It drags its prey into the sea of black.
The everlasting sleep takes all the life
Out of the lungs, no more streams air in them.
Always the everlasting sleep brings strife.
Of it, never again can you be free.
Eternity, you’re falling to your death.
For miles and miles the fall goes on somehow.
Sheer dread, can’t even take a single breath.
You hit the ground and take your final bow.
I know this fear is just an inside war,
But I don’t think I’m winning anymore.
