I sit in this room where they speak of math
Though I sit aside getting lost in thought
Arranging ideas of future paths
And as I rest and ponder, I am caught
I glance back at my notes just a sec
I start jotting down answers for the test
So then he calls on me and I’m a wreck
Inside I panic, but I try my best
To my dismay, I answered correctly
At that instant, I looked away to smile
Upon my glance I did look directly,
At the window losing myself awhile.
Just to find myself back where I started,
To my thoughts from which I first departed
