Wannabe
I am a wannabe – that’s what some people call it
I would do or be
Anything solely for the experience it promises me
I would go to prison and spend time in the SHU
Or I would ace life and head to Stanford too
I would start from nothing and be a CEO
But all of this is a secret while I pretend to go with the flow.
My optimism calls this my imagination
While in reality it is my damnation
My ambitious quality breaks me down, for I am a wannabe
Who can never be all that I want to be
