Thoughts
My mind full with opinionated thoughts.
Some jumbled together collectively.
Should they escape, they may be good for naught.
So they must be chosen selectively.
I am encouraged to think as I please.
Yet the challenge is to watch what I say.
The consequence does not put me at ease
An exorbitant price I'm sure to pay.
I’m knowing my freedom can be revoked.
Despite my knowledge of what lies ahead,
Only tears and frustration are provoked.
Which my parents believe I will drop-dead.
Heed their warning; keep those thoughts in my head,
Or risk the punishment that lies ahead.
