Monsters Cry Tears
Tonight there’s no rest in this lonely bed
From sorrow of keeping not one soulmate
Dealing with the hate, again and again
To lie to myself that love’s in my fate
That time will tell when I’ll save my true love
Like a knight who’s found a princess to wake
But unlike tales, I’m a knight who’s found none
'Cause humans have caused my poor heart to break
They call me Monster, as foul as I am
The women have said it’s my fault I’m here
A body so horrid, face of a ram
Great teeth and sharp claws, a beast to be feared
So all shun me, see me not as a man
But do they know even monsters cry tears?
