I Am Strong
I am a strong minded person and I’m difficult to understand.
I wonder if everyone suffers from what they’ve gone through.
I hear what people say, it sticks in my mind like a toad on a stone.
I see the faces my peers make when they look at people who don’t fit the status quo.
I want to know why those people judge so harshly, why they’re so cruel.
I am a strong minded person and I’m difficult to understand.
I pretend not to notice how horrible some comments can be.
I feel like there is nothing left to say about people who have hurt me.
I touch the sorrow in my soul feeling as if I was a skeleton dancing in a pool of flames.
I worry sometimes when I look into my eyes, all I see is emptiness.
I cry when I see something I know I’ll never have, we all want what we don’t have.
I am a strong minded person and I’m difficult to understand.
I understand that I’m full of scars but I’m still standing on my sore feet.
I say ‘I’m okay’ to everyone who questions me, no matter how hard life gets.
I dream about the happy life, I wish I had.
I try to focus on what is important in life but we all make mistakes.
I hope that my life turns out how I want because I want to be happy.
I am a strong minded person and I’m difficult to understand.
