Nighttime
Among the stars,
cloaked in the dark,
you are the moon
I look up to.
Your voice is the breeze,
whistling of trees,
a nightingale’s song,
a trickling pond.
Please don't go on
with the coming of dawn.
Promise to come another night,
so I can see your moonlight.

I wrote this poem for a friend of mine that I loved, but I would lose as she had to leave to go to her home in Palestine with her family. Although it is not meant to be a love poem in the sense of romantic love, it was meant to be a poem about a friendly love.
