Every Night, a War Rages On
Pray tell me why must we be enemies
And fighting to the death? We could have been
An unstoppable allied force, you see,
In this war to end all wars we could win?
Can’t I extend an olive branch for this?
Or sign a treaty and end this conflict?
We could meet up in Versailles or Paris?
Or maybe San Francisco or Utrecht?
You keep me up for hours every night.
You never let me get a good night’s rest.
You capture sleep before I start to fight.
Insomnia, you’re enjoying this mess.
You finally agreed to sign the pact,
Yet you back-stabbed me with a sneak attack.
