A Love Sonnet for English Class
Blue eyes so bright with the glow of knowledge,
Knowledge or mischief, I do not know which.
Soon he’s leaving and going to college.
Have I told you? My love has a big glitch.
But still I love him if it means heartbreak;
Oh help me lord and save me from myself.
Help me lose my feelings or I will ache.
Can’t he notice me? Am I such an elf?
I’m doomed forever to love the wrong man.
But to feel so good is worth any price,
He makes me imagine kids in a van.
Then he looks at me and I melt like ice.
My blue-eyed angel, how I love you so
You won’t speak to me outside of class, though.
