Loss of a Loved One
A female that I hold dear to my heart,
Who had departed to new locations,
Has made umpteen people’s lives fall apart
Like a tornado losing its formation.
She was a splendid grandmother of four,
Her strong, contagious presence lit up rooms,
That had all the love in the world and more,
For whom she saved for, four of her heirlooms.
She made sacrifices for those she knew
And got the unconditional love back.
When she had cancer, she fought the pain threw
As her limp body was under attack.
She slowly crumbled and withered away.
Nana, I still think of you every day.
