Why Stay?
a constant reminder of my darkest days
can´t seem to tell you what I have to say
Still wondering why you did what you did
all? fine when I keep my emotions hid
habits so bad that I can´t seem to break
as I remember the memories we used to make
upset but I´m still unable to say goodbye
everything you do I feel like I can justify
hooked on you as if you are heroin
unknown why I stay when you make my head spin
realized with you, I´d rather date a rock
taken time to realize I was your laughing stock
a smile creeping up here and there
as I realize my heart wasn´t yours to tear

I was inspired by my creative writing teacher to make it. I hope others can relate to the experience I try to share throughout the poem.
