Best Friend
My friend has eyes like sunrays
Her tongue is like unto a fire
But I love her no matter what she says
Her laugh is what I most desire
She brings me joy beyond compare
And smiles on top of smiles
No one else is quite so rare
There are none for many miles
She is one in eight billion
She has such rarity
I went through every million
Just for clarity
Her voice is indeed the sweetest sound
Best of friends till we both are in the ground

I wrote this sonnet for my best friend. I chose to do so becuase i really wanted to write something that had a lot of emotion in it. I also really wanted to be able to connect with other teenagers and their love for their own best friends. I wrote this story with her in mind, and it really means a lot to me, and I am hoping it can mean a lot to others as well.
